1. Company Details

2. Removals
Each job is unique and will be evaluated prior to a price being quoted. Should The Client accept the Quotation please read our Terms and Conditions prior to entering in to a Contract with A1:
DEPOSIT
a) A Deposit is required from The Client at the time of Confirming a Booking and constitutes a Contract and Acceptance of A1s Terms and Conditions, which are contained herein. All Payments for all Services are to be made in £Sterling using a Payment Method detailed below in 2b and in 6. Payment Methods Accepted.
i. Standard House Removal Deposit is £150 including VAT, within Northern Ireland. In general, this would cover the majority of Private Clients house removals. The Balance outstanding is due on the day of completion or sooner if requested.
ii. Specialised House Removal Deposit would be dependent on the type of job and any special instructions The Client requests, which would be discussed and agreed prior to Confirming the Booking, within Northern Ireland. The Deposit would be greater than £150 including VAT. The Balance outstanding is due on the day of completion or sooner if requested.
iii. Cross Channel House Removal - Standard or Specialised; refers to mainland United Kingdom and EU Countries. A Quotation will be supplied, either verbally or written, prior to The Client Confirming the Booking and the Deposit required would be made known. The Deposit would be 1/3 (one third) of the total cost of the Contract and be payable at the time of Confirming the Booking. The remaining 2/3s (two thirds) would become due no later than 7 days prior to the intended departure date from Northern Ireland, or earlier if the said departure date should be sooner.
PAYMENT METHODS ACCEPTED
b) On the day of completion of the Contract the remaining balance in full becomes due, without exception. The final payment due may be made in the following ways:
i. CASH a receipt will be issued. Please note that our Operatives do not carry cash and will, therefore, not have any change.
ii. DEBIT/CREDIT CARD A1 will accept this method of payment providing it is during the hours of 9am 5pm, as the Office would need to process this via telephone. An Authorisation Receipt will be forwarded on to the Client either by email or post.
iii. In the event that your anticipated completion time is likely to be later than 5pm and you intend to pay via Debit/Credit Card, please telephone the day before with your Card details during A1s office times of 9am 5pm.
iv. CHEQUE we currently do accept cheques, although, this is under review. A cheque payment for the remaining balance will only be accepted if received 14 days prior to the Completion of Contract date, to provide clearance time.
3. A1 Removal Contract & The Client (including **Alterations and **Cancellations)
a) AI has been trading for 40 years (2007) and A1s reputation and reliability, as a proven and trusted Company, has been achieved through the commitment it has shown to its many Clients. In the unlikely event that The Client isnt completely satisfied with A1s service we ask that The Client contacts the Office immediately.
b) Quotation each job is unique and all Clients will receive a Quotation prior to the Confirmation of Booking stage. A visit will be arranged to assess the intended removal and this will then be followed by The Client receiving a Quotation, either verbally or written.
c) We do not provide Quotations over the phone, or by other medium, without viewing the job.
d) Confirmation of Booking by The Client once a booking is confirmed by receipt of the required Deposit this constitutes Acceptance of a Contract and Acceptance of A1s Terms and Conditions.
e) Alterations to the Booking a minimum of 5 days notice is required should the confirmed removal date require changing. A1 shall make every endeavour to accommodate The Clients request, however, in the event that transport should not be available an alternative date would be offered. Should The Client not accept an alternative date they will have broken their Contract with A1.
f) Cancellation of the Booking - ?
g) Deposit Forfeiture A1 will make every effort to work with The Client to resolve any situation, however, where a Clients alteration or cancellation is deemed unreasonable the original deposit would be forfeited.
h) Force Majeure (Acts of God) excludes A1 of any responsibility in this regard and would terminate the Contract without Penalty. For example, wars, natural disasters and unforeseen major events, which might have an adverse effect on A1 carrying out its Contractual duties. This Clause would also apply to The Client.
4. Insurance (including damage to personal property)
a) A1 does not insure The Clients goods, personal property or Self. It is the responsibility of The Client to do this. However, with over 40 years experience of Removals it is highly unlikely that anything would be damaged as all due care is taken by experienced Personnel.
b) In the unlikely event that an Employee of A1 was to damage The Clients property and admitted to this, A1 would recompense The Client.
c) On accepting The Contract The Client accepts this on an All Risks basis.
d) The Client is within their rights to take out their own Insurance should they choose to do so and it is their responsibility to honour any Agreement/Contract they enter into with an Insurer.
5. Storage Facilities for Goods and/or Personal Items
A1 offers 3 different storage facilities as follows:
a) Personal Client
· Storage facilities are available for short or long term Storage of The Clients possessions in secure premises.
· Terms are available on request and are calculated on the amount of space required.
· Initial Payment to be 1 months Storage Fee in advance, or the full amount due if the period is less, a Deposit of £100, plus the costs of collection of the required items from The Clients address/or designated address to the Storage facility.
· Subsequent payments are charged by the week, or part thereof, and are to be paid in full at the latest 7 days prior to the commencement date. For longer Terms Payment would usually be paid monthly in advance either by Debit/Credit Card. See Payment Methods below.
· Cheque Payments should be received 14 days prior to any due commencement date to allow for clearance.
· Vacating the Storage Facility. The Client undertakes to provide a minimum of 7 days notice, unless a vacation date was agreed at the outset.
· No Goods/Items will be released to The Client until all accounts are settled in full.
· Removal of Goods/Items from the Storage Facility to an address provided by The Client. A1 will provide a Quotation for the job and the Terms and Conditions will apply as in a Standard or Specialised Removal see 2. above. Alternatively, The Client may instruct another Company to remove the Goods/Items.
· Health & Safety The Client must instruct a professional removal company to remove their Goods/items from A1s Storage facility. This may be A1 or an alternative Company agreed by A1.
· Health & Safety The Client will not have access to the Storage Facility and should they require an Item to be released they must discuss this with A1.
· The Client undertakes to not store any hazardous, inflammable or illegal items or substances in the Storage Facility. In the event that this Term is ignored The Client is totally and legally responsible for any ensuing fire or damage suffered by A1. In the event of illegal substances or goods, A1, without hesitation, will inform the Authorities and provide details of The Client.
· A1 does not accept any responsibility for the condition of the Goods/Items in storage and The Client accepts that Storage is on an All Risks basis.
· Disclaimer - A1 does not insure The Clients goods or personal property. It is the responsibility of The Client to do this.
b) Commercial Client
· Please contact A1 for an individual Quote, which will be tailored to your requirement.
· Payment Method to be agreed between The Client and A1 prior to The Contract commencement.
· Other Terms and Conditions apply as with Personal Client above.
· Special requirements to be discussed with A1 and agreed.
c) Self Storage
Independent 20 lockable steel containers, accessible to The Client and maintained by A1.
· A1 maintains the self-storage units and will keep these in good and sound repair at their own expense. It is The Clients responsibility to inform A1 should remedial work be required.
· The type of usage of the containers is at the discretion of A1 but under no circumstances may any unit be used for the purposes of conducting a business on the site. However, a container may be used for storing materials and/or goods used or owned by a Company with the prior consent of A1.
· The containers may be accessed between the hours of 8am 5pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday and Sunday by prior arrangement. This is in the interest of A1s yard and security for everyone.
· There is no minimum Contract Term, although preference will be given to Clients requesting a longer usage. This will be discussed prior to the Offer being made.
· Rent is paid 4 weekly in advance plus there is an initial Deposit of £100, which is refundable on vacation providing that the container is left in a neat and tidy manner. See Payment Methods below.
· The Client agrees not to keep hazardous or inflammable materials/items in the containers, without prior consent from A1. If this should be intended The Client will submit this request in writing to A1 ahead of the situation. Should this Term be ignored and The Client does keep hazardous/inflammable items in the containers they will be served Notice to Quit.
· It is the responsibility of The Client to insure their possessions stored in the containers. A1 does not provide insurance of any description.
· A1 provides a sturdy lock and key at a cost of £10, which is payable with the Deposit and the first rental payment. This £10 is refundable on vacating the container providing it has not been damaged or misused.
· Additional Locks. The Client may install additional personal locks to secure the container/s.
· The Client agrees to remove all of their rubbish and waste materials from A1s site on a regular basis and they agree not to litter the yard at anytime.
· Refund of Deposit The Client will forfeit the £100 Deposit in the event that the container is not left in a neat and tidy manner, e.g. rubbish is left behind inside the container or outside in the yard.
· Termination of Use. The Client agrees to give 4 weeks Notice to vacate unless a leaving date was agreed earlier.
· Vacation of Container. The Client agrees to finalise their account with A1 prior to the removal of their Goods/Items. Should there be any arrears outstanding A1 will exercise Lien of Contents. They will hold The Clients Goods for a further 7 days and should the arrears not be settled within this time The Clients possessions will be sold.
6. Transportation of Goods and Courier Service

7. Payment Methods available for all Services
